Fees

We are a private billing practice. Medicare rebates apply for most consultations, reducing your out-of-pocket cost. Fees are set by your treating GP.

Forestville Medical Practice is a private billing practice. A gap payment applies for most consultations — this is the difference between our fee and the amount Medicare reimburses.

You can claim your Medicare rebate at the time of payment using our EFTPOS Medicare claiming facility. Payment is required on the day of your consultation by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card.

Standard GP consultation fees
The consultation type is determined by your GP based on length and complexity. The fees below apply to patients 16 years and over.
Children under 16 — bulk billed
All consultations for patients aged under 16 are bulk billed at no cost to the patient. NIP vaccines are also free for all children.

Good to know
Claiming your Medicare rebate
Claim your rebate at checkout using our EFTPOS facility — no need to visit a Medicare office. The rebate is transferred directly to your nominated bank account, usually within one business day.
Booking the right appointment length
Let reception know how many concerns you'd like to discuss. If you have multiple or complex issues, request a longer appointment. Your GP confirms the appropriate item number at the end of the consultation.
Procedure and other fees
Some services such as skin procedures, medical certificates, and travel vaccines may attract fees in addition to your consultation. Please speak with our reception team when booking for an estimate.
